Full description and what we offer
Mike "Buck" Bowden has spent four decades guiding hunters into America's Last Frontier. His operation isn't built on marketing slogans—fair chase is how he runs the business, period.
Hidden Alaska offers single and multi-species hunts ranging from 10 to 18 days:
- •Dall Sheep - The mountain hunt they're known for. Hard work, serious reward.
- •Moose - Float trips, fly-in lodge hunts, or remote spike camps. Both rifle and bow hunters have taken B&C and P&Y animals here.
- •Brown & Grizzly Bears - Spring and fall hunts using spot and stalk or float trips.
- •Caribou, Black Bear, Wolf, Wolverine - All available, with no trophy fees on the latter three.
- •Combo Hunts - Moose/bear, sheep/moose, sheep/grizzly combinations (10+ days recommended).
Every hunt runs with a one-on-one client to guide ratio. No crowds, no shortcuts. The guides use traditional methods—spot and stalk, calling, observation—because the old ways still work.
You choose your setup:
| Option | Details |
|---|---|
| Lodge Hunts | Comfortable fly-in base camp |
| Float Hunts | Multi-day river floats |
| Spike Camps | Remote tent camps, minimal infrastructure |
All areas are road-inaccessible, meaning you'll spend your time in the field without seeing another soul except your guide.
"Buck is an honest outfitter. The excellent guides Buck sets up for his clients make sure that the hunt is safe and successful." — Jack Russell, 2019 Sheep Hunter
Rifle and Bow Hunts Available - Different camps suit different disciplines. Past clients have scored into both Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young.
Hunters book multiple times because each hunt style—lodge, float, spike camp—shows a different face of Alaska. Safety and your experience are paramount. Buck's guides are seasoned outdoorsmen, not just tag-fillers.
