Full description and what we offer
Hunt Fish Brooks Range is not a traditional shooting range facility, but rather a remote backcountry hunting and fishing destination in Alaska's Brooks Range. This location caters to serious outdoor enthusiasts planning fly-in-and-float adventures through some of America's most wild and remote hunting and fishing grounds.
The Brooks Range is accessible only by aircraft, with fly-in services available from Anchorage and Fairbanks. This is true backcountry terrain requiring significant preparation and wilderness experience.
While primarily a hunting destination, shooting activities include:
- •Rifle hunting for game including caribou, moose, and grizzly bear
- •Archery hunting for various game species
- •Sidearm shooting for bear protection when not hunting with rifles
- •Fishing for Arctic grayling and other species
The Brooks Range offers unparalleled opportunities for long-range hunting in alpine and tundra environments. Hunters should be prepared for:
- •Extreme remoteness and minimal rescue infrastructure
- •Challenging terrain ranging from pristine alpine tundra to difficult tussock fields
- •Encounters with grizzly bears and other wildlife
- •Weather delays affecting flight schedules and trip duration
- •Limited resupply options and no in-field amenities
Successful hunts require comprehensive preparation including specialized gear, proper rifle selection, quality optics, and extensive backcountry skills. Summer and early fall (August-September) are primary hunting seasons. All participants should arrange trips through experienced outfitters or guides familiar with Brooks Range conditions.
