Barela's Alaskan Outfitters operates out of Wasilia and specializes in remote, backcountry hunts for trophy-class Alaskan game. Their guides have logged serious time in the field—not just local knowledge, but experience hunting across multiple states and countries.

Each guide brings different strengths to the table:

• •Hunter Taylor started guiding right out of high school in Wyoming (mule deer, elk, black bear), then moved to bear hunting in Oregon and ranch work in Texas before settling in Alaska full-time. He's guided brown bear, grizzly, black bear, wolves, wolverines, mountain goat, moose, and more.

• •Mitch Davis has been guiding since 2010 and grew up hunting high-country mule deer and elk in western Wyoming with his dad. He's certified as a Wilderness First Responder and emphasizes firearm safety, meat and hide care, and current regulations.

• •Caleb Stillians has nine years of guiding experience and grew up in interior Alaska (Glennallen). He specializes in backcountry hunts and focuses on pursuing world-class animals in rugged terrain.

• •Casey Johnson brings 39 years of hunting experience across 14 states and 2 foreign countries, with 5 states of guiding work. His specialty is high mountain elk and wild sheep hunts, but he guides moose, bears, goats, wolves, deer, and coyotes.

• •Cooper Stec was raised in Talkeetna and has extensive remote mountain experience from his father's gold mining operations. He emphasizes quality gear, ethical shot selection on mature animals, and full meat procurement. Also Wilderness First Responder certified.
