Full description and what we offer
Kodiak Wilderness Adventures has been running guided hunts on Kodiak Island since 1991. They specialize in three trophy opportunities: the giant Kodiak Island Brown Bear, Sitka Blacktail Deer, and Sea Ducks. Everything is included except your Alaska license, tags, ammo, and transportation to Kodiak.
Kodiak Brown Bear – 10 or 15 day hunts timed to fall (opening October 25th) or spring (closing May 15th) seasons. These are backcountry wilderness stalks with 1 guide per 2 hunters.
Sitka Blacktail Deer – 5 day/6 night hunts departing Sundays, returning Saturdays.
Sea Ducks – 5 day/6 night waterfowl hunts, or combined with blacktail deer hunts.
You're based at their waterfront lodge overlooking Settlers Cove with views of surrounding mountains. Guest rooms accommodate two hunters with private bathrooms. Each morning you depart at first light with your guide; each evening you return to a warm bed.
Meals are prepared family-style in the 1,000 sq ft dining area under the direction of owner Katy, a self-taught chef. Expect fresh seafood and garden ingredients—hot breakfast, sack lunch, dinner, snacks, and home-baked desserts.
