Hunt 41 operates as a community-driven resource for waterfowl hunters in Arizona—a state many overlook for duck hunting. What makes Arizona unique is the hunting itself: you're not wading through traditional swamps but hiking through desert terrain, dodging cactus and rattlesnakes to reach small water holes and flooded mesquite trees.
Species You'll Hunt - Primary targets: Green-wing Teal, Blue-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler, Gadwall, Mallard, Ringneck, Wigeon - Secondary species: Cinnamon Teal, Pintail, Lesser Scaup, Greater Scaup, Common Goldeneye, Canvasback - Permit-only: Sandhill Crane
"You never know what will land in your spread, rocketing teal to out of place wood ducks the adventure and stories are endless in a land where many don't give it a chance."
Seasonal Conditions - Early Season: Very warm and sunny - Mid-Season: Mild to hot with 30-40 degree temperature swings - Late Season: Crisp 40s mornings warming to 75 by noon (December-January offers premium birds for mounting)
Hunting happens in natural vegetation around small water holes surrounded by cattails or immersed in flooded mesquite trees. You'll hike mile to half-mile walks through desert terrain and across river beds. Larger lakes and rivers work with Jon boats or sturdy kayaks for access.
