Blazn Guns operates a guided waterfowl hunting outfitter based in Brinkley, Arkansas—centered between Little Rock and Memphis, Tennessee. The operation owns over 14,000 acres of privately held hunting ground that includes flooded rice fields, soybeans, green flooded timber, and various habitat types ideal for wood ducks, mallards, Canadian geese, Specklebellies, and Snow Geese.
The primary hunting areas sit within an 80-mile radius of the lodge, with some blinds located just 2 miles from the White River Wildlife Refuge—one of the largest remaining bottomland hardwood forests in the Mississippi River Valley and a critical wintering area for North American waterfowl.
Flooded timber hunts here follow a predictable pattern. Wood ducks arrive thick as bees at first light. Hunters who can shoot fast will stay busy. As woodies slow down around mid-morning, mallards begin filtering into the blinds. The shooting transitions from rapid-fire wood duck passes to deliberate shots on greenheads. Geese—Canadian, Specks, and Snow—typically pass overhead and hunters normally take a few while duck hunting.
Blinds produce between 500 and 700 birds each season.
The hunting is described as fast-paced and requires quick shooting skills. You need to bring plenty of ammunition.
