Full description and what we offer
Ducks N Dogs operates out of St. Charles, Arkansas, in the heart of what locals call "Arkansas' Magic Duck Hunting Triangle"—where the White River, Arkansas River, and Mississippi River meet. The operation is run by Randy Papa, a lifelong duck hunter who started hunting at age 8 and guiding at 15. He's a competition caller and award-winning Labrador breeder whose dog "Promise" won the Arkansas State Duck Dog Championship.
"I have hunted with Randy and his crew for 15+ years. Sometimes we kill ducks, sometimes we don't. The service and professionalism is always 'Top Shelf'." — Orris Howell, 15+ year client
Ducks N Dogs maintains leases across a 35-mile hunting area, giving clients options for different conditions and duck concentrations. The guides scout daily to locate birds and position hunters accordingly.
Hunting Terrain Options: - Flooded rice, beans, milo, and corn fields - Flooded timber holes - River sloughs - Cypress swamps - Layout blinds, skid blinds, pit blinds (duck boats available as conditions dictate) - Decoy spreads: 100-500 decoys for ducks, 60-120 for geese
Stuttgart is known for some of the nation's best flooded timber duck hunting. The experience is intense—wood ducks and mallards multiply as they circle in, creating what feels like being surrounded by a swarm. Multiple flocks work through the timber at different levels with less calling needed, but the adrenaline is equal to any waterfowl hunt.
Mallards, widgeons, wood ducks, pintails, teals, canvasbacks, speckled bellies, gadwalls, black ducks, and redheads. Guides are experts in calling and blind placement for each species.
Fully guided combo hunts for ducks and geese. Goose hunting typically happens over dry land in layout blinds, skid blinds, or ditches, often in the afternoon (sometimes mornings). Common species: speckled belly, snow (white front), and blue geese.
2025-2026 Bag Limits: - Specklebellies: 2 per hunter - Snow Geese: 20 per hunter - Blues: 20 per hunter - Ducks: 6 per day with species limits

Stuttgart earned its reputation as the "Duck Hunting Capital of the World" because of the Arkansas Grand Prairie. Commercial rice production established in the early 1900s made Arkansas the top rice-producing state. Rice fields and irrigation reservoirs create a major rest stop for ducks and geese migrating on the Mississippi Flyway.
The city sits about 50 miles southeast of Little Rock. White River National Wildlife Refuge (30 miles away) and Bayou Meto Wildlife Management Area offer public hunting alongside private operations like Ducks N Dogs.
