Full description and what we offer

Norrell's created MolyResin™, a thermally cured coating designed for firearm finishing. What started as a solution for aluminum AR-15/M-16 receivers and stainless steel sound suppressors is now used across the firearms industry by gun shops, manufacturers, gunsmiths, law enforcement, and home DIYers.

MolyResin™ isn't a spray paint or typical epoxy. It's a phenolic resin that bonds to all metals through thermal curing:

  • Thin coating (.0003″ to .0009″) keeps precision-fitted parts reassembleable
  • Built-in lubricity from molybdenum disulfide reduces friction
  • Hardness exceeds 9H on the paint scale—harder than most epoxy and Teflon finishes
  • Temperature tested to 500°F for 1000 hours and -125°F soak
  • Chemical resistant to aviation fuel, hydraulic fluid, gun solvents, acids, and bases
  • Salt spray rated for 1000+ hours and equivalent to 30 years marine exposure

You don't need industrial equipment. The process is straightforward:

1. Airbrush application (inexpensive equipment) 2. Thermal cure in an oven 3. Professional finish without wasteful processes

Mil-spec tested — meets military standards for durability and performance

Norrell's provides modern military and industry-standard colors plus vintage colors for special restoration projects. All finishes cure to uniform, smooth, crack-free appearance.
