Full description and what we offer
Stan Jones Mallard Lodge offers guided duck and upland bird hunts on some of Northeast Arkansas's best waterfowl grounds. The lodge sits in the heart of the Mississippi Flyway, which attracts millions of ducks and geese each season. What makes their operation different: Stan Jones spent over 30 years running a successful guide service before building this lodge, and he strategically purchased rice ground and managed properties specifically to attract and hold ducks.
Duck hunting here means experiencing the full waterfowl season—from sunrise flocks appearing on the horizon to working decoys and hearing the commitment of wings over the spread. The lodge operates across flooded timber, rice fields, and pit blinds. You hunt with guides who grew up in the area and know the water and duck behavior intimately.
Jason Price (Head Guide) – Grew up hunting Rainey Break WMA flooded timber. Fifteen years guiding on Stan's farm. Owns Southern Snows Guide Service. Hunts with Hugo (HRCH/AKC Master Hunter, 5,500+ ducks retrieved in lifetime) and Ike (Hugo's son, starting his first season).
Tosh Manning – 15 years guiding experience. Specialized specklebelly goose hunter and caller over the last five seasons. Hunts with Rio, a black lab with HRCH title.
Erik Hearnes – Five seasons at the lodge. Hunting partner with his five-year-old lab Charley.
Landon Hearnes – Fourth season guiding. Loves timber mallards and rice field specklebellies. Hunting with his new dog Buzz.
Randy Williams – Started hunting at age ten. Green timber specialist and pit blind experience. Hunts with Jet, a two-year-old black lab. Fisherman when not guiding.
Ricky Meeks – 34 years old. Passionate about watching dogs work. Currently training one of his dog's sons, "Timber." Has two sons, Mason and Kade.
Fast-paced upland hunts targeting ring neck pheasants and chukar partridges. Guides design hunts as traditional or Continental style. Expect plenty of action, shooting opportunities, and trained bird dogs.
