Full description and what we offer
The Goose Guys Waterfowl Hunting LLC operates guided waterfowl hunts across Arkansas and South Dakota. Owner Travis Victory and his team have spent over two decades pursuing snow geese, Canada geese, and ducks during spring and fall migrations. They're based in McCrory, Arkansas but operate year-round across multiple states following bird movements.
Most outfitters set up on a field and stay there for weeks. The Goose Guys move constantly. They scout hundreds of miles daily to track where geese are roosting and feeding, then set up in fresh locations. This aggressive scouting approach means hunters get under actual bird activity instead of hoping birds show up to a static setup.
Key advantages of booking with them: - Professional guides with minimum 10+ years experience - Thousands of acres of secured private land access - Scout-driven approach (not "park and pray") - Full-body decoy spreads: 1,200-1,800 decoys per field - Electronic callers and comfortable layout blinds - Trained retrieving dogs included - Top-quality Benelli shotguns available for rent ($50/day)
Arkansas Spring Snow Goose Hunts (February-April) Hunts operate around McCrory, Arkansas during the spring Light Goose Conservation Order. During this period, Arkansas relaxes normal waterfowl regulations: no limits on geese, electronic calls permitted, shotgun plugs not required, and hunting hours extended 30 minutes. Half-day hunts run early morning through noon, then hunters break and head back out for afternoon action since snow geese move all day.
Costs: $280/hunter per day (half-day, no lodging) or $345/hunter per day (half-day with lodging). Add $50 more per hunter for full-day hunts. Lodge includes 4K TVs, WiFi, pool table, two kitchens, dog kennels, and comfortable accommodations.
South Dakota Waterfowl Hunts (March-April spring geese, September-November fall ducks) They hunt Beadle, Clark, Spink, and Kingbury counties. Spring snow goose hunts typically run first week of March through first week of April. Fall duck hunts use layout blinds on fields and water hunts on private farm ponds with permanent pit blinds.
Costs: $250/hunter per day (no lodging) or $300/hunter per day (with lodging). Similar lodge amenities as Arkansas operation plus wireless internet.

Snow geese are notoriously difficult to hunt. They're educated, migratory, and constantly on the move. The Goose Guys refuse to use the "migrator spread" approach every day because it simply doesn't work consistently in the South. Instead, they adapt daily based on where scouts locate active birds. This "whatever it takes" mentality is why they've stayed in business for 24+ years—and why they reinvest profits back into farmers to maintain access and relationships.
"True professional guides with a 'whatever it takes' mentality to provide a successful hunt. We understand that migrator spreads simply do not work all the time in the south, so we choose not to use them everyday."
