Full description and what we offer
Windy Hill Outfitters started as an idea between Rob and Randi Robinette around a campfire. What they call "Duck Camp" isn't just about killing ducks—it's about stepping away from daily life, hunting with friends, watching sunrises from blinds, and making memories. They turned that vision into a working outfitter so others could experience what duck camp really means. You'll find one or both owners on-site during visits, personally ensuring the experience matches their philosophy.
Windy Hill hunts the Cash River area near Jonesboro in Craighead County—prime waterfowl territory made up of flooded timber and wet crop fields. The location sits directly on a major migration corridor, meaning year-round bird activity and access to multiple species:
The 2025-2026 season runs in three windows: November 22–December 1, December 10–23, and December 27–January 31.
Windy Hill limits groups to a maximum of two at a time and maintains a strict rotation schedule across six field pits and two flooded timber blinds. This approach keeps birds minimally pressured and hunting areas rested. It also means a home-like atmosphere instead of an assembly line operation.
Their luxury flooded timber blind features a built-in kitchen for cooking hot breakfast in-field. This experience is typically saved as a grand finale hunt—and reviewers say it's worth the wait.
