Diamond C Outfitters specializes in blacktail deer and turkey hunts conducted entirely on private California ranches. Their deer hunts take place in the B-Zone with over-the-counter tags, covering terrain that mixes open fields, rolling hills, timber, and brush suitable for spot-and-stalk hunting.

Their season runs July 15 through November 30 (any weapon) thanks to participation in California's Private Lands Management (PLM) program. For hunters who draw the rare M-11 muzzle loader late season tag, Diamond C can guide those hunts as well.

The PLM program provides economic incentives to landowners who manage habitat for wildlife—water sources, native plants, and brush cover. This partnership between wildlife managers and private landowners has conserved over 895,000 acres of habitat across 90 properties statewide.

They report high success ratios on their hunts, with many quality bucks available on the ranches plus excellent quality management bucks. Primary hunting method is spot and stalk, which works well across their varied terrain.
