Full description and what we offer
Native Hunt has operated since 1990, starting when T. Michael Riddle purchased neglected property in Monterey County. After four years of restoration—replanting native grains, halting open hunting, and letting wildlife rebound—the land transformed into a thriving hunting destination.
Michael's vision expanded beyond restoration. He imported approximately 400 Eurasian wild boar (eight times more than William Randolph Hearst imported to his own ranches), along with bison and multiple wild sheep varieties. The property now offers genuine exotic hunting opportunities.
Native Hunt operates across 27,000 acres in Monterey and Fresno counties with a guarantee: their guides will provide you an opportunity to harvest game.
Hunts use spot-and-stalk methodology. Between days, guests stay in first-class lodging with hot showers and meals prepared in an outdoor kitchen. You can:
"The breathtaking views, exotic game opportunities, and delightful staff will keep us coming back for more!"
Packages accommodate all experience levels—from first-time hunters to seasoned veterans. A notable bachelor party group of seven college friends from Los Angeles all made kills on their first visit, combining the wilderness experience with the comfort of good food and friendly staff.
Native Hunt Enterprises, Inc. is licensed, state-bonded, and insured—operating legitimately under California hunting regulations.
Best for: Hunters wanting exotic game in California without the cost of traveling out of state, plus comfortable base camp amenities.
