Location details and information
Birds Landing Hunting Preserve has operated as a membership club since 1981, offering both upland game hunting and sporting clays shooting. Located in the Sacramento Delta region, the property spans over 1,000 acres of segregated hunting fields with a mix of natural and perennial grasses, cultivated terrain, and vegetative ditches.
The primary hunting season runs October through April. Members hunt pheasant and chukar with their own dogs or rentals. The terrain accommodates different hunting styles—flushing dogs thrive in tall brush and thick cover, while pointing dogs excel in more open areas.
Hunting Options: - Morning hunts (8:00 AM start) - Afternoon hunts (12:30 PM–3:30 PM) - Open roam hunts (varying time windows by membership level)
Trained hunting dogs are required for all hunting. If you don't have your own dog, Birds Landing offers dog rentals and professional guiding services.
