Berthoud Sportsman's Club

The Berthoud Sportsman's Club is a private membership organization dedicated to offering recreational opportunities and promoting safe outdoor recreation in Berthoud, Colorado. Located northwest of town near Loveland Lake, this club provides members and their guests with exclusive access to fishing and hunting opportunities in a controlled, community-focused environment.

The Berthoud Sportsman's Club maintains a fishing lease with the Loveland Lake and Ditch Company for a scenic lake located between Highway 287 and Larimer County Road 17. The club is limited to 135 members to ensure quality experiences and sustainable resource management.

Access to Loveland Lake and club facilities is available only to members and their guests. The club entrance is located off Larimer County Road 17, just northwest of Berthoud. New members must be at least 21 years old and proposed by a primary endorser and seconded by a secondary endorser, both with voting privileges. Preference is given to applicants from the 80513 zipcode area. The current waiting list is approximately 4 years.

Members enjoy fishing for multiple species including rainbow trout, largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, black crappie, yellow perch, and wiper (striped bass hybrid). The club also supports hunting and general outdoor recreation activities for members.

The club's core mission is to offer and support recreational opportunities for members while promoting the safe enjoyment of outdoor recreation within the community. The organization maintains a commitment to conservation, safety, and responsible stewardship of natural resources.
