Full description and what we offer
Colorado Outfitters Association formed through a merger of The Outfitters Professional Society (TOPS) and the Colorado Guides and Outfitters Association. Today, it's the go-to directory for finding legitimate, registered outfitters across Colorado.
The association maintains a searchable database of 100+ licensed member outfitters operating throughout Colorado. Every outfitter listed meets COA standards and operates under a strict Code of Ethics.
"Working together to protect, maintain and enhance the opportunity to hunt, fish and enjoy the Colorado outdoors."

Northwest Colorado handles units across the White River National Forest and Flat Tops. Operations like Bull Basin Guides, Sable Mountain Outfitters, and Code of the West Outfitters work here year-round.
Southwest Colorado covers the San Juan Mountains and Weminuche Wilderness. Lobo Outfitters, San-Pahgre Outfitters, and Sundown/Rio Grande Outfitters specialize in these high-elevation hunts.
Southeast Colorado includes the Sangre de Cristo range and lower elevations. Track 'Em Outfitters and Sangre De Cristo Outfitters operate across multiple units here.
Northeast Colorado reaches into the Front Range and northern mountains. Medicine Bow Outfitters, Red Feather Guides, and Colorado Elk Outfitter work high country units.
South-Central Colorado offers desert mule deer, small game, and mountain hunts through outfitters like KB Outdoors and Rugged Mountain Outfitters.
The association is run by active outfitters including President Jenny Burbey (Highlands Unlimited) and regional directors representing Northwest, Southwest, Northeast, and At-Large territories.
COA members provide local knowledge, access to private land and permits, all logistical planning, and expert guidance. Whether you're a first-time hunter or a seasoned veteran, finding the right outfitter through COA takes the guesswork out of planning a Colorado hunt.
