Thorough pre-hunt scouting gives you the best shot at the largest animals their units have to offer. Peak season starts in fall at higher elevations where game congregates during summer. As weather cools and snow deepens, hunting moves to lower elevations. Mountain lion and bobcat hunts perform best after fresh snowfall.
Customers have noted Bill's skill at adapting to elevation challenges—one hunter from Michigan successfully took a mature bull and a 6x6 cow elk at 885 yards, with game pack out handled professionally.
Hunts operate in Game Management Units 61, 70, and S64 in remote Southwest Colorado. The lodge sits at 7,500 feet elevation, so arriving a couple days early to acclimate is recommended.
Nearby airports and towns for pre/post-trip exploration: - Grand Junction, CO - Telluride, CO - Cortez, CO - Montrose, CO
