Rocky Mountain Roosters is a premier hunting and shooting destination in Calhan, Colorado, celebrating over 40 years of excellence in the hunting and shooting sports community. The facility operates dedicated ranges for multiple shooting disciplines:

Rocky Mountain Roosters offers complete pistol training programs led by NRA-certified instructors. Owner Brett Axton and his brother Scott Axton are both NRA Pistol Instructors and United States Concealed Carry Association affiliate instructors, providing expert-level training for self-defense, sport shooting, and firearms proficiency.

Rifle, pistol, and clay ranges are open Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM by reservation. The facility strongly recommends calling ahead to book your range time and ensure availability. Pheasant hunting season runs from September 20th through the end of March.

The facility offers flexible options for visitors: - Introductory hunts available without membership (3-hour sessions: morning 8-11 AM or afternoon 1-4 PM) - Annual membership provides year-round access and allows members to bring guests at member rates - Gift certificates available for the sportsman or woman in your life
