Full description and what we offer
Whitaker Brothers Hunting Company is built on a simple principle: provide fair chase hunting experiences that clients won't forget. The operation started with twin brothers Josh and Jason Whitaker, who began hunting and trapping as kids and turned it into a professional career. They partnered with Eric Schlukebir, a biology graduate with wildlife conservation training who spent 20 years farming in Michigan before joining forces with the twins.
Together, they've hunted everything from Tiburon Island Desert Sheep to mountain lions across North America, and they bring that real-world experience to every client hunt.
WBHC operates across drastically different terrain, giving clients options based on what kind of hunt they want:
Colorado - Southern hunts in pine and oak brush at higher elevations, plus rolling buck brush hills further north. The eastern plains offer wide open country for antelope and predator hunts.
New Mexico - Centered in Cedar Canyon country with classic antelope prairie on the borders. Ideal for black bears, Merriam turkeys, and mule deer.
Sonora, Mexico - Stark desert flatland with the Sierra Madres range cutting through. This is where they hunt Coues deer, Desert Bighorn, javelina, and Gould turkey.
Texas & Additional Areas - Rio Grande turkey and javelina hunts, plus operations in Chihuahua, Mexico for Coues deer and turkeys.

WBHC isn't just selling hunts—they live in the field year-round. Summer desert scouting in 95+ degree heat, chasing hounds in mountain snowstorms, hours of glassing on windy ridges. This is why they endorse specific gear:
KUIU Clothing - They wear KUIU in the pine, cedar, and sage country they hunt. Verde 2.0 camo, packable and durable enough to handle seasonal extremes. They recommend it to clients to maximize their hunting advantage.
Nosler Ammunition & Rifles - When the final moment comes, they trust Nosler Accubond rounds on everything from Coues and antelope to bears and elk. Nosler rifles are built to be hunted hard and stay accurate. This is the combo they use themselves.
Josh & Jason Whitaker - Twin brothers with 20+ years of professional guiding experience across the West and Old Mexico. Started hunting and trapping as kids, turned it into a lifelong profession.
Eric Schlukebir - Biology degree with Wildlife Conservation training. Spent 20 years farming in western Michigan while pursuing hunting adventures across North America. Met the Whitaker Brothers during one of those hunts, and when the partnership opportunity came up, it was the perfect fit.
All three share the same work ethic: hands-on, honest, and down-to-earth.
