Guidehunting provides the information and training pathway for guides looking to operate legally in Connecticut. Whether you're starting a hunting guide service or a fishing guide operation, they walk you through state requirements, registration, and the skills you need to succeed.
Connecticut requires all guides to register with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). Registration is handled through DEEP's Online Sportsmen Licensing system at ct.gov/deep/sportsmenlicensing or in person at DEEP offices. The registration fee is $100.
Always ensure you and your clients have the necessary hunting and fishing licenses for the game you'll be pursuing.
