Wildlife Adventures operates Cougar Creek Lodge in the Cariboo Region of British Columbia, Canada, specializing in fully guided combo hunts for moose, black bear, mule deer, cougar, lynx, and wolf. The operation spans over 2.4 million acres of prime hunting territory in Game Management Unit 5, located approximately 150 miles south of Prince George near Williams Lake.
The territory is recognized in Boone & Crockett record books for producing some of North America's largest big game trophies. Hunters consistently take:
| Hunt Type | Dates | Price | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spring Black Bear | 5/17-6/4 | $3,900 | 6 days |
| Cougar (Winter) | 1/14-3/10 | $8,900 | 10 days |
| Bear/Deer Combo | 9/6-9/13 | $4,300 | 6 days |
| Moose/Bear/Deer | 9/13-10/11 | $5,500-$5,900 | 6 days |
| Moose/Deer | 10/11-11/5 | $4,900-$5,500 | 5-6 days |
| Mule Deer Trophy | 10/18-11/5 | $3,900-$4,500 | 5 days |
| Cougar/Mule Deer | 11/20-12/1 | $9,900 | 10 days |
All hunt packages include professional guide, meals prepared by lodge chef, lodging at Cougar Creek Lodge, equipment, and game/trophy care assistance. No trophy fees.
Hunts are conducted from crew-cab 4x4 pickups and side-by-sides, covering logging roads and clear-cuts across the territory. For cougar hunts specifically, guides use GPS-collared dogs to track and tree cats, then hunt them from snowmobiles in winter. Baiting is not permitted.
Terrain is relatively easy to moderate—located in the Fraser River Valley at approximately 2,000 feet elevation with rolling hills, clear-cuts, and some swampy areas.
Cougar Creek Lodge features: - 6 bedrooms with 2 single beds each - 2 full bathrooms with showers - Laundry facilities - WiFi and cable TV - Chef-prepared meals included
Non-hunter guests can accompany hunts for $225/day. Hunters bringing rifles into Canada must complete the Non-Resident Firearm Declaration Form (CAFC 909) available from Canadian government.
"Our hunters have harvested big game animals like trophy Moose, Bear, Deer, and Cougars, and we are looking forward to an exceptional upcoming hunting season." — Shawn Dalmon, Guide-Outfitter
