Full description and what we offer
Central Florida Powder Coating, Inc. has been finishing parts for the Orlando and Central Florida region for nearly 30 years. They work with automotive builders, marine shops, architectural contractors, and industrial manufacturers—handling projects from small custom pieces to high-volume commercial runs.
Powder coating is a dry finishing process. Finely ground pigment particles are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto a metal part using low-pressure air. The charged powder sticks to the oppositely charged surface, coating it evenly. Then the part goes into an oven at 400°F for 10 minutes, where the powder melts, flows like paint, and cures into a hard, durable finish. Once cooled, it's ready to ship.
The process starts with part preparation: rust, paint, and contaminants are removed through stripping or media blasting. A final wash stage removes blasting dust, oils, and solvents to ensure proper adhesion.
Durability: Powder coating is significantly more durable than liquid paint. It resists chipping, scratching, and rust far better.
Environmental: No liquid solvents required—safer and more eco-friendly than traditional painting or plating.
Thickness: Powder coating produces much thicker coatings than paint can achieve, providing incredible protection.
Finish Quality: Creates a nearly flawless, professional finish. Texture and thickness can actually conceal minor surface flaws, requiring less prep work than painting.
Color & Effects: Metallics, pearls, primers, clear coats, and multiple texture options available—similar flexibility to paint.
Waste: Produces far less hazardous waste compared to painting or plating operations.
