Gulf Rifle and Pistol Club operates a comprehensive shooting facility 1.8 miles north of US 98 in Port St Joe, Gulf County, Florida. Members and their guests access dedicated ranges for:
- •Pistol: 25-yard and 50-yard ranges
- •Rifle: 100-yard, 200-yard, and 300-yard ranges
- •Shotgun: Fully automated trap field (Sundays and Tuesdays, 12pm-5pm)
The club is open to members and guests at all times for pistol and rifle shooting. All shooters must sign in on every visit, and guests must complete a waiver before shooting.
Gate combination changes February 1st each year. The range may close Wednesday mornings for maintenance and occasionally for law enforcement training.
The club runs a rotation of organized competitions throughout the year:

Matches start at 10:30 AM EST with setup at 9:30 AM. The range closes to general shooting during match events.
Recent match results show consistent participation with 10-16 shooters per event. The club welcomes new shooters and has seen multiple first-time competitors join Steel Challenge and Benchrest matches. Winners from recent competitions include Bobby Mooneyham (multiple .22 Benchrest wins), KC Majors (F-Class and Benchrest), Todd Layman (F-Class), Ron Ricketts (Sporter Class), and Houston Whitfield (Outlaw Class).
Club records show Steel Challenge matches consistently raising $140-$205 per event, demonstrating healthy participation and community support.
Business meetings are held the second Wednesday of each quarter at 6:00 PM EST in the range trailer. Members can submit discussion items and feedback to the club secretary in advance.
