Full description and what we offer
Turkey Mountain Taxidermy (TMT) preserves your hunting trophies as lifelike mounts. Located in Georgia, they work with hunters who've taken whitetails, turkeys, exotic game, and western species—turning field successes into displays that actually look like the animal you hunted.
- •Whitetail Shoulder Mounts – The workhorse of their operation. Standard shoulder setup for bucks and does.
- •Turkey Mounts – Full-body turkey displays. They've completed multiple mounts per season.
- •Exotic Game Mounts – Lions, leopards, and other non-native species.
- •Western Game – Elk, mule deer, antelope, and other western trophies.
- •Skull Mounts – European-style displays for shed antlers or skulls.
- •TMT Bone Yard – A service or product line related to skull/bone work.
- •Custom Taxidermy – If your mount doesn't fit standard categories, they'll take it on.
Brandon Moore runs the operation. His blog posts reveal he's also a serious hunter—he scouts Georgia hardwoods, hunts whitetails with a traditional bow, and regularly pursues elk in Colorado. This isn't a shop run by someone who just learned taxidermy. He actually hunts.
Transparency on Timeline: TMT has posted publicly about running 45-60 days behind schedule during peak season. They commit to completing turkey, duck, and deer mounts by September. If you're submitting work, expect honest timelines rather than false promises.
Recent blog posts mention: - A 7-foot black bear mount in progress (a significant undertaking) - Three turkey mounts completed in a recent season - Ongoing inventory of deer mounts being processed - Working through summer backlog, targeting early September completion
Brandon's blog covers hunting strategy, fitness preparation for out-of-state hunts, and field reports. Posts discuss scouting techniques, white oak sign, tarsal gland placement for rutting season, and traditional bow hunting tactics. This shows the owner understands his customer base—people who actually hunt, not just display animals.
