Full description and what we offer
Circle C Outfitters is a family-owned waterfowl guide service operating across southwest Idaho and into eastern Oregon. They're based minutes from Boise and hunt the Snake River region and surrounding private properties where corn fields and the river draw thousands of migrating waterfowl each season.
They target Canadian geese, greenhead mallards, snow geese, specklebelly geese, widgeon, wood ducks, goldeyes, teal, pintails, and diving/dabbling ducks. Early season focuses on mallards hunting private fields. Later season (late January through spring) shifts to snows and specks, with hunts occurring over water or in flooded corn.
All hunts use heated custom-built steel blinds, A-frames, and layout blinds. Setup depends on bird location, weather, and field conditions—you might hunt a dry corn field one day and flooded water the next. Multiple guides spend long days scouting to find birds before your hunt date.
Guides conduct pre-hunt scouting on their private properties spanning from the southern Snake River all the way into Eastern Oregon.

Outfitter Dave Clark runs the operation with field guides Tyler Davis, Austin, Michael, and Taylor. Lead retrievers include Piper, Oakley ("The Bear"), and the younger pair Crack and Meth—all from championship bloodlines with parents that are field-tested and siblings qualified as drug, cadaver, and search/rescue K-9s. Guide "J" ("The Enforcer") holds nothing back with feedback. Noah handles videography and social media.
"As a Fire/EMS/LEO family, we take pride in serving those that serve."
They offer special consideration to first responders and military.
No outside dogs allowed—liability and livestock concerns on ranches prevent guest dogs.
No harvest guarantee—waterfowl are wild, migratory animals affected by weather, food availability, and unpredictable behavior. They guarantee opportunity and effort, not limits. Sometimes shooters miss, guns jam, birds spook.
Private blinds when possible—groups of four typically hunt alone with their guide and dog, but may combine based on bird location and weather.
Gear required varies by season—early November hunts differ completely from late January. They'll send a specific gear list once you book.
Gratuity optional—tips appreciated but never expected.
Call (208) 519-9968 or email [email protected] to check available dates and get your specific gear list. Once you book, a guide will reach out to confirm details and discuss your party's particular needs.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Hunts booked after October 1st require full payment at booking.
