Diamond D Ranch operates a remote hunting outfitter located in the heart of Idaho's backcountry. Accessible by a 20-mile drive on Loon Creek Road or by backcountry charter flight to nearby Upper Loon Creek USFS Airfield (U72), the ranch sits at coordinates N 44° 32' 57.318" W 114° 51' 05.565" — roughly 4.5 hours from Boise.

Diamond D partners with Cross Hairs Long Range Shooting School and instructor Mike Perkins, a sniper with 30+ years of experience. Three class tiers run in 2026:

Hunting Class — Fundamentals and intermediate long-range technique. Engage steel targets from 100–1000+ yards from realistic hunting positions and extreme angles. Max 14 students. May 29–30 and Sept 6–7 (3 nights, 2 days).

Hunting Class Advanced — Extended reticle work, reticle ranging, multiple target engagements, time pressure drills. Targets to 1000+ yards. Max 14 students. June 1–2 (3 nights, 2 days).

Extreme Long Range Class — Steel targets out to 2000+ yards. Requires precision rifles (.300 PRC or .300 Win Mag recommended). Max 12 students. June 4–5 (3 nights, 2 days).

All classes include: - 2 days of instruction from professional sniper instructors - 3 nights lodging and all meals at Diamond D Ranch - Ranch amenities - Use of ranch suppressors (available upon request)
