Gem County Rod and Gun Club is a member-supported shooting range and gun club located in Emmett, Idaho, dedicated to safety, responsibility, and skill development in the shooting sports. The club welcomes shooters of all experience levels—from novices to experienced marksmen—and serves a diverse membership including families, law enforcement agencies, and competitive shooters.
The facility features a comprehensive outdoor shooting range with dedicated target areas for multiple shooting disciplines:
- •Rifle Shooting – High-powered hunting rifles, target rifles (.22 caliber and larger), and specialty firearms
- •Pistol Shooting – Revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, and handgun training
- •Shotgun Shooting – Shotgun sports and training
- •Black Powder Shooting – Historic and antique firearms shooting
- •Competitive Events – USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) competitions and CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) rifle events
- •Marksmanship Training – Professional instruction and skill development
- •Law Enforcement Training – Dedicated training area for law enforcement agencies
The outdoor range includes target stands, shooting benches, and shooting tables positioned for safe, comfortable shooting. Member facilities are available for registered club members, with a dedicated law enforcement training area on the property.
Gem County Rod and Gun Club is a membership-based facility. New members are required to complete an orientation and receive a gate card before using the range. Guest passes and waivers are available for non-members. The range is open sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week, providing year-round shooting opportunities in the Gem County area.
