Glen Cropper started River Dog Retrievers three decades ago with one simple goal: make you and your dog the best team possible—in the field, on the river, or at home. What started as gundog conditioning evolved into a full-service operation that now includes hunt test training, handling, boarding, and breeding.
Boarded Training - $800/month or $250 per 5-day week (weekends at boarding rate) - Modern, temperature-controlled indoor kennels with daily exercise - Pre-training consultation to set realistic expectations - 30-day evaluation checkup on progress
Hunt Test Handling & Competition - Junior, Senior, and Master level entry and handling - Handlers with 160+ ribbons and 40+ titles earned - Over 15 years of competition experience
Boarding & Grooming - $25/day boarding (space available basis) - Bath and brush: $40 | Nail trim: $20 | Ear wash: $20 - Temperature-controlled facilities with quality food
AKC Lab Puppies - Black and Yellow Labs with field trial bloodlines - EIC and CNM clear by parentage - Dew claws removed, dewormed, first shots included - Both parents on site
Other Services - Started and finished dogs occasionally for sale - All-breed obedience training - Airport transportation to Idaho Falls ($100) - Veterinary trip coordination ($100)

Cropper also manages Spring Slough Duck Club—375 acres with two major sloughs (Bannock Jim and Spring Slough) plus a half-mile of South Fork Snake River frontage. Eight sunken blinds and multiple upright options. Members get vehicle access to blinds, kennel facilities, mud room, bathroom, kitchen, and temperature-controlled storage for decoys and gear. Limited memberships available seasonally.
