The Lodge at Palisades Creek offers guided hunts for ducks and geese across 36 miles of Idaho's Snake River—from Palisades Dam downstream through the canyon to Clark's Hill. They hold permits to hunt on the south border of Palisades Reservoir and on forest service and BLM ground along the river bottom.
Primary species include mallards and Canadian geese, though you may also encounter pintail, widgeon, and teal. Exact opening and closing dates shift annually based on bird migration patterns, so they recommend calling or emailing in late July or early August to confirm your hunting window.
Split your day between hunting and fishing. These combination trips run mid-October through November and let you experience both activities in a single outing.
