Testudo Defense is a specialized firearms training facility in Moscow, Idaho, offering comprehensive instruction in defensive shooting, concealed carry preparation, and tactical skills development. Located at 335 Julie Drive, the facility features a state-of-the-art LaserShot virtual shooting range simulator alongside instruction-led live-fire courses conducted at private ranges throughout Latah County.

Testudo Defense specializes in structured, instructor-led courses rather than open-range shooting. Primary offerings include:

• •Idaho Enhanced CCW Permit Class ($200) – The most comprehensive concealed carry course on the Palouse, covering mindset, equipment selection, threat identification, Idaho self-defense law, law enforcement interactions, and defensive shooting drills. Requires foundational handgun skills.
• •Basic Pistol Class ($150) – Introductory course for new handgun owners covering grip, stance, aim, trigger control, reloading, and malfunction clearing
• •Basic AR-15 Class ($150) – Defensive rifle training for new to intermediate rifle owners
• •Virtual Shooting Range Sessions ($100/hour) – Private simulator access featuring 50+ programs including competitive drills, skill-building exercises, and judgment-based defensive scenarios
• •Specialized Training – Law enforcement judgment training, competitive shooting leagues, and medical/trauma response instruction (Stop the Bleed)

The virtual range uses LaserShot technology with infrared sensors and inert training firearms, providing safe, high-paced skill development. The classroom environment supports both simulator instruction and theoretical coursework. Live-fire classes utilize private properties throughout Latah County, accessible only to enrolled students.

All activities require prior registration and enrollment. The facility operates by appointment only. Virtual range sessions accommodate up to six people per hour.
