Full description and what we offer
The Victoria Fish & Game Protection Association operates an active airsoft program that welcomes players of all ages and experience levels. Their player base currently ranges from 8 to 78 years old, making it one of BC's most inclusive airsoft communities.
Organized events run every other Sunday on the VFGPA property at 700 Holker Place in Malahat. Games feature standard airsoft competition scenarios:
The field includes rough terrain and a creek running through part of the property, so sturdy boots with ankle support are recommended.
Mandatory: - ANSI Z87.1+ rated eye protection (full seal goggles strongly recommended) - Airsoft marker (semi-automatic capable, 1.49 joules muzzle energy max) - Muzzle cover (must be attached when out of case) - Carrying case for transport (BC provincial regulation) - Biodegradable BBs only - Bright red "kill rag" (12" x 12") to indicate elimination
Recommended: - Wire mesh face mask or thick bandana - Tactical gloves - Layered or thick clothing (BBs leave welts on bare skin) - Sturdy boots with ankle support
VFGPA offers limited rental packages for first-timers. Each includes: - G&G CM 16 Raider 2.0 A.E.G. (electric airsoft gun) - 9.6v NiMH battery - ESS Tactical XT goggles - Mesh face mask - Kill rag, backpack, biodegradable BBs
Renting is a smart move if you're trying the sport without committing to equipment investment.
All participants must complete a VFGPA waiver form (available at the field). Players under 19 need a parent or guardian to sign as well. Children under 14 should have an adult present.
