Full description and what we offer
Steve Meng started Base Camp Leasing in 1999 after hitting a wall: finding private hunting land was almost impossible. He was an accomplished whitetail hunter and grain industry professional who saw the gap between landowners with unused hunting rights and hunters desperate for quality places to hunt. Twenty-six years later, that frustration became America's largest hunting lease marketplace.
"Powered by the American Landowner" - Base Camp Leasing's core philosophy is that landowners make this work. They manage liability, handle screening, collect payments, and keep properties quality-controlled. Hunters get year-round access. Everyone wins.
You pick a membership level. New leases hit the platform at 8 P.M. EST on your designated days. You log in, place a deposit to hold the property for 7 days, personally inspect it, then pay in full to secure your 365-day exclusive lease.
75% of quality leases get claimed in the first few minutes. That's why timing matters.

100% exclusive access to hunting rights during your lease term. No one else hunts that property. You manage habitat, set rules, control who steps foot on it. First right of renewal means if you want to keep it, it's yours.
Every lease comes professionally written to protect both hunter and landowner. Liability is covered. Trespassing enforcement is yours to manage—property boundaries get posted, and you can coordinate with conservation officers if issues come up.
You get access to aerial photos before committing. You personally walk the property. You decide if it's the right fit. No agent hand-holding, no surprises after you've already paid.
Base Camp handles everything: tenant screening, contract management, liability insurance, payment collection, compliance. Landowners earn thousands annually from hunting rights while minimizing risk and admin headaches.
Large landholders work with dedicated agents who understand portfolio management across multiple properties. The company has 25+ years of experience matching serious hunters to serious land.
Members get up to 35% off 60+ brands including major outdoor gear, ammunition, and hunting equipment suppliers. Real discounts on stuff you actually use.

New leases release at 8 P.M. EST. Be logged into your account and on the new leases page before your tier's release time—the best properties move fast.
Thousands of hunters have found their private land through BCL. Some keep the same lease for years. Others inspect multiple properties before finding the right fit. The platform works because Base Camp treats it like a business relationship, not a transaction: professional lease agreements, actual customer support by phone (not chatbots), and 25 years of knowing what hunters and landowners actually need.
