Full description and what we offer
Cabot Guns manufactures custom 1911 pistols built from solid blocks of 416 stainless steel billet, machined to tolerances measured in fractions of a human hair. Every frame and slide begins as billet stock and goes through computer-controlled precision machining overseen by master craftsmen and engineers. The result isn't just another 1911—it's a baseline that redefines what "precision" means in the handgun world.
"Every one of our handmade 1911 pistols exceed national match standards right out of the box."
Cabot's proprietary manufacturing technology creates frame-to-slide fits tighter than anything achievable by hand. Their trademark Tristar trigger is precision-formed using CNC spark corrosion, with each star cut to tolerances finer than a fraction of a hair's width. Micro-serrations on the slide measure just ten human hairs in width—a detail that signals the obsessive attention paid to every component.
The company's commitment to American manufacturing is absolute: 100% made in the USA, with parts sourced domestically and assembled in Pennsylvania.
In 2012 and 2013, Gunnery Sgt Brian "Gunny" Zins won the NRA National Pistol Championship shooting a Cabot—the first year a Cabot Gun ever competed at that level. In over 100 years of competition, only two civilians have taken first place overall; both shot Cabots. In 2017 and 2018, Jon Shue repeated the feat, winning the NRA National Pistol Championship with a Cabot Guns pistol.
Damascus Steel 1911s ($8,295–$9,595) Cabot is recognized as the preeminent builder of Damascus steel 1911s. Each pistol features hand-forged damascus with unique wave patterns. Available models include: - Apocalypse® 2.0 ($8,495) - Serenity ($8,595) - The Ultimate Bedside 1911 ($8,295) - Serenity MAX ($9,595) - Apocalypse® MAX ($9,495)
Left-Handed 1911s Unlike competitors, Cabot builds truly left-handed pistols from the ground up. The frame, slide, controls, and even barrel twist are fully inverted. The National Standard Southpaw runs $6,495.

Cabot guarantees accuracy: all pistols deliver shot groups better than 1.5 inches at 25 yards, right out of the box. The company provides warranty registration, video library support, and a dealer network nationwide.
Cabot limits production to maintain quality. For example, only 50 National Standards will be produced in 2026. Custom orders require a non-refundable deposit, with delivery estimates provided upon confirmation.
The 2026 Gun of the Month Club releases exclusive limited-edition models throughout the year—ideal for collectors and shooters seeking unique variations.
Cabot pistols are carried by competitive shooters (NRA champions), celebrities (Dee Snider, Joe Mantegna, Kid Rock), athletes (Michael Chandler, UFC lightweight champion), and professional instructors including FBI firearms instructors.
