Full description and what we offer
Indianapolis Ordnance focuses on one thing: keeping obsolete and antique military firearms alive. They reproduce parts for firearms that are no longer manufactured, allowing collectors and builders to restore and maintain weapons that would otherwise become unusable.
They can reproduce or modify: - Bolts and semi-finished receivers - Firing pins and cocking handles - Barrels in various calibers - Springs, rivets, and other small components - Custom parts for nearly any specification
They specifically work with firearms including the MP-28, STEN (MK2, MK3, MK5), Lanchester, Gatling, Czech 26, Beretta Model 12, Owen, and many others.
They design and produce build kits that comply with BATF specifications so shooters can legally own and build military-style firearms in semi-automatic form. These kits let people own functional versions of classic military weapons without legal complications—as long as builders follow federal guidelines.
Their patented blank-firing replicas simulate full-auto function with the same rate of fire as originals. Key features:
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Ammunition | Compatible with 9.3mm BFONG blanks from Atlantic Wall Blanks |
| Receivers | All-steel, only a few ounces heavier than originals |
| Magazines | Use standard magazines with minimal adjustments |
| Modifications | Cannot be modified to fire live ammunition |
| Legal | All have required orange tip per Federal Law |
| Function | Fires forward, vents gases like the real thing |
These replicas are as dangerous as live firearms. They're extremely loud and expel high-pressure gas capable of serious injury or death.
While they don't offer general build services, they do provide assembly for specific blank-firing replica kits: - MP-40 Blank Firing Replica Build Kits - Thompson Blank Firing Replica Build Kits
Contact them for pricing on assembly work.
Clear on what's off the table: - No parkerizing or finishing work - No wood stocks reproduced - No finished receivers sold (not an FFL holder) - Limited build services currently unavailable
State Restrictions: - California & Kansas: Replicas require presentation box (additional cost) - Connecticut, Massachusetts, Wisconsin: No shipments - New York & Puerto Rico: Only modern firearms (post-1898) replicas to theatrical, military, police, or government accounts with proof
Their parts are engineered to work together and with original components. They offer phone support to help with fitment and adjustments. Custom parts have no returns, but standard parts accept returns within 30 days in original condition (10% restocking fee, minimum $15).
