American Legion Post 147 in Jasper, Indiana operates Junior Shooting Sport programs as part of its broader mission to serve veterans and strengthen the community. Located at 1220 Newton Street, the Post has been a gathering place for veterans since its founding.
Founded in 1918, The American Legion is the largest veteran's organization in the United States with over 3 million members. Post 147 brings that mission to Jasper by:
Membership is open to veterans with honorable discharge or active-duty service during qualifying periods:

Post 147 operates on the principle that veterans support each other. Whether through the funeral honor guard detail, sponsoring local youth in educational programs, or simply gathering with fellow veterans who understand service, the Post continues the Legion's mission to serve.
