Jasper Rifle and Gun Club

Jasper Rifle and Gun Club operates as a private, member-only outdoor shooting facility located at 2188 E. Gun Club Road, Jasper, IN 47546. The club focuses on recreational shooting and organized competitive events for citizens in the community who want to improve their marksmanship and learn safe firearm handling.

The facility maintains several distinct shooting ranges:

Amenities include a clubhouse with vending machines for soft drinks and full restroom facilities.

The club runs year-round competitions across multiple disciplines:

• •Trap Shooting & League – Fall trap league with individual and team standings tracked annually. Tuesday evening trap and Sunday afternoon trap available on scheduled days
• •Tactical/Varmint Prone Rifle Matches – 2025-2026 schedule published with regular match dates
• •.22 Rimfire Rifle Competition – Dedicated rimfire rifle events
• •100m Benchrest Matches – Precision rifle shooting
• •Black Powder Competitions – Both black powder rifle and trap shooting events
• •Outlaw Steel Matches – Steel target competition events
• •Dubois County Shooting Matches – County-level competitions hosted at the facility

Membership is required to use the range. The club accepts U.S. citizens and permanent legal resident aliens (approved via bylaw change in 2020). Law enforcement memberships are available.

Members receive: - Gate access codes and range orientation - Ability to participate in all competitive events - Invitations to member appreciation events - Participation in quarterly business meetings held on the 3rd Thursday of February, May, August, and November at the Jasper Knights of Columbus. Meetings start at 6:30 PM with dinner and soft drinks provided.

The organization focuses on "encouragement of recreational and organized competitive rifle, shotgun, and pistol shooting" while fostering safe firearm handling, proper maintenance practices, and improved marksmanship. The club emphasizes developing sportsmanship qualities including honesty, integrity, good fellowship, self-discipline, and team play.

Monthly executive committee meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 PM at the clubhouse. Members with suggestions about club operations are welcome to attend.
