The Edge Paintball Adventures

The Edge Paintball Adventures has operated since 1995 at the intersection of K-96 and Ridge Road in Wichita. The facility spans 50+ acres with 7 wooded courses and 3 speedball courses, giving players options whether they want tree-cover gameplay or fast-paced format matches.

The facility handles multiple group types:

• •Walk-in open play - Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (March-November)
• •Birthday parties - Full-day and half-day packages
• •Corporate outings - Private field reservations
• •Large groups - Up to 200 rental players at capacity
• •Weekday private reservations - Available by paid reservation only

Every pricing package includes all-day admission, all-day air fills, and paintballs. You pick your package based on how much paint you'll shoot:

Extra paintballs sell separately: Pod-O-Paint (150 rounds) for $7.50, 500-round box for $18.50, or 2000-round case for $65.

Rental gear is available - Mask, marker, loader, tank, and chest protector for an add-on fee.

Full-day play runs a minimum of 10 games. Half-day sessions include 6 games minimum. Most games last about 15 minutes on average, with breaks between games and a 30-minute lunch break built in.

Players get divided by skill level (Level 1 experienced/expert, Level 2 beginner) and split into balanced teams.

The facility enforces strict safety rules:

• •All players wear ASTM-approved paintball goggles with face mask and ear pieces
• •Goggles stay on anytime you leave the staging area
• •Chronograph checks run minimum twice per session
• •Markers capped at 285 feet per second maximum
• •Semi-automatic firing mode only, maximum 10.5 balls per second
• •Barrel blocking devices required in staging areas
• •No dry firing in staging area
• •No outside paintballs allowed (water-based pro shop rounds only - no oil-based paint)

Paintball is statistically safer than basketball or baseball according to American Sports Data, Inc.

Bringing your own gear? Yes, allowed during walk-on and private play. Your marker must be: - Semi-automatic mode only - Chronographed to 285 FPS maximum - Include barrel plug or sleeve - Have a paintball-rated face mask - Have CO2 or compressed air tank within hydro testing dates

Outside paintballs? No. Only pro shop rounds allowed for safety reasons. They're water-based and washable. No First Strike rounds, no smoke bombs.

Wear layers and long sleeves/pants. Paintballs can leave welts or bruises depending on distance and impact angle, but dressing properly minimizes sting. Grass stains happen - don't wear your best clothes.

Snack bar on site sells: - Water ($1.50) - Gatorade ($2.50) - Candy or chips ($1.50) - Beef jerky ($2.50) - Pizza delivery available from Pizza Hut and Papa Johns to the facility - Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, Sprite typically in stock

• •A quarter-size paint mark anywhere on your body or gear = eliminated
• •If you feel a hit, check for paint. Paint on your hand = you're out
• •Eliminated players go to neutral zone and can only say "I'm out"
• •No giving away other players' positions when you're dead
• •Close-range rule: Within 15-20 feet, players must give "WALK or DIE" option
• •Cheating, wiping, and unsportsmanlike conduct = ejection from course
• •Games start and stop with whistle. Stop shooting immediately when you hear it
• •Respect all players, spectators, staff, and property
