North Mountain Adventures Guiding & Outfitting is a family-owned operation run by Craig and Melanie MacCarthy since 2014. Craig brings decades of guiding experience from Manitoba and British Columbia—he grew up in his parents' outfitting business and now runs his own operation focused on giving hunters the best possible chance at mature game.

• •Black Bear Hunts - The area north and east of Riding Mountain National Park is known for producing some of Canada's largest bears and a high percentage of color phase bears (blonde, cinnamon, chocolate)

Craig has spent his entire life hunting and fishing this specific area. As an avid bowhunter himself, he knows what it takes to get close to animals and stay undetected. His deep knowledge of terrain and animal behavior directly translates to higher success rates for clients.

Hunts are based out of comfortable lodge accommodations that handle 2-8 persons with full bathrooms, kitchens, fireplaces, and wood heat. It's not roughing it—it's a real base camp where you can rest between hunts.
