David Westmoreland started Prairieland Outfitters in 1998 with a simple philosophy: never put a hunter in a stand he wouldn't want to hunt himself. That approach hasn't changed. He currently manages over 40,000 acres across multiple states and international locations, running a tight operation that prioritizes game quality over client volume.

• •Food plots and nutrition - Working with Biologic as a sponsor, PLO maintains extensive quality food plots to help animals reach full potential. Year-round feeders run on every property, and mineral licks support does and bucks through summer months.

• •Trail camera inventory - They maintain an extensive network dating back to the 1998 launch of consumer trail cameras. They typically have pictures of every harvested animal and a complete photo history showing what's available each season.

• •Controlled hunting pressure - In most cases, only one group of hunters uses each property per year. Some properties run no more than one hunter per 1,000 acres. This means animals act naturally, and if you pass on a buck, there's a strong chance it'll be there next year—hopefully even bigger.
