Marksman Rifle & Pistol Club

Marksman Rifle and Pistol Club is a well-established shooting organization dedicated to serving the Cowley County community with safe, quality shooting sports facilities. With over 30 years of service and approximately 200 active members, the club has become a cornerstone of the local shooting sports community.

The club operates two primary ranges:

• •200-Yard Rifle Range - Designed for rifle shooting at extended distances
• •25-Yard Pistol Range - Purpose-built facility for handgun training and practice

Both ranges are maintained to professional standards and designed with safety as the primary concern.

CMP Affiliation - Marksman Rifle and Pistol Club is affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), offering members access to CMP programs and competitions.

Concealed Carry Training - Several club members are Kansas Certified Concealed Carry Handgun Instructors and provide courses throughout the year at the range facilities.

Membership Programs - The club offers membership opportunities for those committed to the shooting sports community. Membership requires National Rifle Association (NRA) membership as a prerequisite.

The range is located south of Arkansas City. To reach the facility, travel Highway 77 south through town to Madison Highway 166, turn right across the bridge to the 41st Street intersection, then turn right and follow the hardtop as it curves back east toward the river. The range access is via a gravel road just past the berm on the right.

The club welcomes new members and actively encourages participation in club activities. As a member-owned organization, participants become part owners with a stake in the club's continued improvement and success.
