•Unit 3 Reports: $500 (more public land)
•Unit 5 Reports: $300 (limited public access)
•$100 refundable deposit required (returned after season)

In 2022, 65% of my DIY hunters harvested elk—far above the statewide average.

Recent seasons held steady around 50%, still outperforming the statewide harvest rate under 35%. Not luck. Bill knows the country.

You need to be a decent shot, physically fit, and willing to hike. This isn't a guided hunt—it's intel from someone who's spent serious time glassing these units. The reports tell you where the elk should be based on terrain, food sources, and seasonal patterns.
