Louisiana Fishing Charters operates guided alligator hunts in the heart of the Louisiana wetlands, with Captain Randall Shaw leading trips out of Delacroix. They specialize in taking hunters deep into the lush marshes to pursue some of the state's largest alligators.

Hunters can choose between baited hook and firearms methods. Once a gator strikes, the real fight begins—guides work with you through the initial battle, then when the shot opportunity presents itself, the hunt concludes. Their customers describe the experience as pure adrenaline: pulling up to check what's on the line, then seeing the first sight of an angry swamp lizard.

The operation uses shallow-water Gator Tail Outboards boats to reach muddy areas where the biggest gators live. September hunts are particularly popular—the marshes are lush and jungle-like, and the boat ride alone impresses customers. All gear rental and transportation are handled by the guides.

Last year's reports: two 11-footers, a 10-footer, and an 8-footer taken. Cold fronts slow activity, but warming trends bring strong feeding.
