Mareno's Outfitters started in 2014 as Mareno's Bowfishing Adventures, then expanded in 2019 to offer guided hunting across multiple game types. Based in Lake Charles, they specialize in taking hunters into the Louisiana marshes and bayous for adrenaline-focused outdoor experiences.

• •Alligator Hunts ($1,400 base) - Hunt includes tag and basic meat cleaning. Taxidermy prep runs $150-250 depending on gator size. Groups up to 3 per boat, can run multiple boats for up to 6 hunters total.
• •Nighttime Thermal Hog & Coyote Hunts ($300/person) - Year-round season using thermal imaging technology for night hunting. Max 3 hunters per night.
• •Nutria Eradication Hunts ($400) - February-March in the marshes. Using thermal tech, hunters commonly take 100+ nutria per night. Max 2 per surface-drive boat.

Alligator hunts require a $300 non-refundable deposit to secure tags. Louisiana resident licenses are $25; nonresident licenses run $150 and are the hunter's responsibility. For hog/coyote and nutria hunts, you need a Louisiana Basic Hunting license (not provided by Mareno's).

Both beginners and experienced hunters book with them. Their guides provide assistance and tips to help you improve technique. No prior experience required.

Gear varies by hunt type, but essentials include proper footwear (rubber boots, snake boots), dark clothing for night hunts, and a headlight for thermal hunts. For alligator hunts, bring an ice chest for your cleaned meat.
