Old Cypress Retriever's is a family-owned gun dog training facility established in 1999 near Kaplan, Louisiana. Trainer Cory Baudoin has spent the past 23 years developing retrievers for both competition and hunting—and it shows in his track record. The operation has won over 100 awards and maintains dogs that are earned Grand Hunt titles (GRHRCH) in UKC competition.

With 500 acres of diverse terrain including marshes and rice fields, dogs train in the exact conditions they'll hunt. This isn't a small backyard operation. The landscape includes the water and cover that waterfowl hunting in South Louisiana demands.

All programs are $650 per month:

• •Basic Obedience Training — Foundational commands (sit, stay, down, come) with positive reinforcement methods. Includes gentle correction and treat/praise-based learning.
• •Gun Dog Training — Full hunting dog development from starter to advanced levels. Real hunting scenarios, focus on performance in the field.
• •1v1 Handler Classes — You learn alongside your dog. Cover effective communication, proper use of training tools, managing behaviors, timing and consistency, building trust and teamwork.
• •Pre-Season Tune Ups — One-month refresh program for trained dogs that need skill reinforcement before hunting season. Includes endurance building and real hunting scenario practice.
• •Started Dogs — Fully trained adult retrievers ready for immediate hunting. Trained in hunting obedience and real-world scenarios.

• •GRHRCH O.C.R's Divide and Conquer (Riot) — Hard-charging retriever with excellent nose and no-quit attitude. Strong field manners in the blind.

• •GRHRCH O.C.R's Put A Spell On You (Jinx) — Dog that won't back down from any task. Reliable effort and willingness in marsh and hunt test conditions.

• •HRCH O.C.R's Down On The Corner (Trick) — High-drive dog with looks, style, and determination. Has an effective "off switch" for family time.
