Range Ready Studios

In 2020, Gun Talk Media founder Ryan Gresham started looking for a new headquarters. The requirements were simple but demanding: studio and office space, plus range facilities, training classrooms, and guest areas—ideally with Louisiana character.

He found an abandoned slaughterhouse in Robert, Louisiana.

After extensive renovation, Range Ready Studios officially opened in summer 2022 as the home base for Gun Talk Media (producers of Guns & Gear, Tom Gresham's Gun Talk Radio, First Person Defender, Build Box, Gun Talk Nation, and Gun Talk Hunt). But it's also a serious training operation.

Range Ready isn't just a classroom. The facility includes:

• •Indoor shoothouse for controlled live-fire training
• •Outdoor ranges for extended distance work
• •Multiple training classrooms for lecture and skill development
• •Meeting spaces and guest areas
• •Studio and production facilities for Gun Talk Media

• •Essential Pistol Skills — $295 (1 day)
• •Essential Pistol & Carbine Skills — $595 (2 days)

• •Semi-Auto Pistol Operator (SAPO) — $895 (3 days). "Turn Fundamentals into Firepower."
• •Basic Carbine Operator (BCO) — single day
• •AR15 Carbine Operator 1 (ARCO1) — 2 days

• •Diagnostic Pistol Instructor (DPI) — $895 (3 days). "Diagnose, Correct, & Elevate Pistol Performance."

Range Ready regularly partners with firearm manufacturers for hands-on experience courses:

The facility hosts training from established instructors and hosts specialized events like the Hands to Guns course with Max Michel and Steve Tarani. Instructors are listed on the Range Ready website, and Chris Cerino ([email protected], 330-608-6415) handles questions and course registration.

Range Ready enforces strict safety protocols:

• •No live ammunition in classrooms
• •Eye and ear protection required on range
• •Treat every firearm as loaded
• •Never point at anything you won't shoot
• •Finger off trigger until ready to fire
• •0% blood alcohol content required
• •Full weapons safety check before/after sessions
• •Cease fire can be called by any shooter for any reason

Students must submit: - Valid photo ID (driver's license or passport) - Proof of background (concealed carry permit, military/LE ID, or NICS receipt from past year)

Registration includes a waiver acknowledging the inherent risks of firearms training and live-fire exercises. All students sign the participation agreement before training begins.

Range Ready Studios is the physical hub for Gun Talk Media's digital properties, including GunTalk.com, Gun Talk TV, and GunDealio.com. The facility doubles as both a training center and content production facility for some of the firearms industry's most recognized media brands.
