Meadowbrook Guide Service: Maine Trout Guide

Meadowbrook Guide Service is owned by Captain John Reynolds, a South China-based guide who grew up fishing brook trout and hunting rabbits, waterfowl, and deer. After earning a fisheries degree from Unity College, John committed to the water full-time—he guides clients or works fisheries projects for the State of Maine almost every day.

Saltwater & Freshwater - Stripers and bluefish (Saco Bay, Old Orchard Beach) - Brook, brown, and lake trout - Salmon and smallmouth bass - Pike fishing trips - Shad fishing

Hunting - Duck and goose hunting (including sea ducks) - Turkey and deer hunting

John specializes in spin and fly fishing using light tackle and streamers. River trips run the Kennebec, Androscoggin, Penobscot, and Sheepscot. He works with professional gear brands including L.L. Bean and Orvis, and guides out of central Maine locations including Bethel, Augusta, Portland, Camden, and Bar Harbor.

When he's not guiding, John chases big fish on light tackle or trains Labrador retrievers for duck season.
