Blackout Investigations & Security Services was established in 2006 by Guy N Black, a retired Maryland State Police First Sergeant and former U.S. Marine. The company draws on over 75 years of collective law enforcement and training expertise to provide security solutions across Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia.
The hiring process is rigorous. They don't just staff bodies—every guard must pass strict screening, look professional, and complete:
Handpicked supervisors conduct weekly meetings with management, perform unannounced site checks, and respond to emergencies. All guards use a clock in/out system that records location data via GPS. Vehicles are equipped with GPS trackers. This accountability infrastructure keeps operations transparent and responsive.
"Thank you for the excellent services throughout the last few months. I really appreciate the promptness and professionalism of your supervisors and the staff you provided." — Sigrid Berge, Capital Clubhouse Recreation Center
