Location details and information

Post 109's Junior Shooting Sports Club is part of American Legion Dewey Lowman Post 109, a veteran-led organization chartered in 1933. The club provides structured shooting instruction and competition opportunities for young shooters in the Baltimore area.

The Junior Shooting Sports Club is one of several youth programs operated through Post 109, alongside Young Marines, Civil Air Patrol, and Scouting initiatives. The club focuses on introducing youth to firearms safety, marksmanship fundamentals, and competitive shooting sports under veteran instruction.

American Legion Post 109 has operated continuously since 1933. Named after Dewey Lowman, a World War I Navy seaman who served aboard the USS Cyclops, the post has deep roots in veteran service and community support. The post has grown to approximately 1,500 members over its 90+ year history.
