Thurmont Conservation and Sportsman's Club is a private, members-only club sited in the Catoctin Mountains at the confluence of the Monocacy River and Hunting Creek, a short drive north of Frederick, Maryland. The club has run since 1946, promoting outdoor family activities centered on shooting and firearms safety. Its grounds include pistol bays and a rifle bay area, plus a trap field that runs a recurring Public Trap schedule.
The club hosts USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, SASS Wild Bunch and 2Gun matches, along with a Swiss Rifles event. Youth programs include a Youth Trap Program and Venturing Crew 270. NRA-affiliated instruction includes a Home Firearm Safety Course, and the club runs Stop the Bleed emergency training for members.
