Full description and what we offer
Earl's Repair Service, Inc. is a Factory Direct Walther Representative and Factory Authorized Service Center for Carl Walther GmbH products manufactured in Ulm, Germany. They're the premier Walther distributor in the US outside of Walther USA in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Earl Sheehan learned to shoot at age five on his grandfather's .22 Springfield rifle—one round per day, which taught him to hit what he aimed at because there wouldn't be a second chance. After training as a mechanical engineer at Lowell Technology Institute and serving in the Army (drafted in 1969), Earl's path to Walther expertise began in the early 1980s as a competition pistol shooter searching for a pistol that could "outshoot my eyes."
His search led him to work directly with Walther engineers in Germany. Earl became so involved with Walther that he personally helped develop improvements to the GSP competition pistol and is responsible for the modular aspects now integral to the system. When England banned handguns after the 1996 Dunblane shooting, Earl developed the GSP Rifle system to allow British competition shooters to convert their pistols to rifles. He holds exclusivity for this product in the US market.

"He refuses to deal in cast parts and will not stock a firearm that doesn't meet his standards, even if it's a Walther product."
Earl's approach is uncompromising on quality. He calls himself an artisan rather an engineer and backs it up with customer service. While prices may run higher than other dealers, that's the norm when you're getting genuine German factory parts and expertise from someone who literally helped design modern Walther competition systems.
The facility is impossible to miss: sitting on scenic Route 100 south of Pearisburg with a Wehrmacht-era armored car displayed on the hill. Earl also maintains a collection of WWII-era Walther memorabilia and German military artifacts, including an authentic Kubelwagen (German Jeep equivalent), MG 34 machine gun, and rare historical pieces like the very first post-WWII P38 and the personal MP sidearm of Fritz Walther himself.
